Good news for Xiaomi handset users, if you already own one of its smartphones then it’s time to upgrade to a better software version.
The Chinese Smartphone manufacturer Xiaomi has started rolling out the Official MIUI 8.2 update to its mobile users.
Let’s check out what all the devices will be supported for the new MIUI 8.2 experience, as confirmed the update will be available via OTA in updater application. Technically sound users can also flash a manual ROM from the downloaded source links. The upgrade program will be started on 20 February for the following Xiaomi Handsets:
Redmi 2 and Redmi 2 Prime, Redmi 3 and Redmi 3 Prime, Redmi Note 3 Qualcomm and Special Editions, Redmi Note 2, Redmi Note Prime, Mi 2/2S, Mi 5, Mi 5S, Redmi 3s Prime and Redmi Note 4.
The new MIUI 8.2 update is based upon Android Nougat version, to provide the users most recent android experience in Xiaomi’s own custom UI. It seems mobiles companies are gearing up for the upcoming Samsung Galaxy S8 release in Q1-2017.
